Quarter and Semi Finals
The finalists for the 2012 Australian Women's Senior Amateur have been decided with 7 time champion Sylvia Donohoe shooting for 8 titles against Jacqui Morgan in an all-NSW affair at Gungahlin Lakes in Canberra.
Morgan survived two close matches in her quarter finals and semi finals, having been taken to the 19th in the morning match to eventually triumph over Vicki Laws (QLD) on the 19th, and then defeating number 1 qualifier and three-time NZ Senior Amateur Champion Robyn Boniface (NZL) 2&1 in the afternoon semi final.
Donohoe reaches the final after defeating two WA players in the quarter and semi finals. Donohoe accounted for Lynn Bennett 4&3 in the quarter final, before overcoming Glenys Ferguson 3&2 in the semi final.
Match Play, First Round
Top qualifier Robyn Boniface (NZL) and defending champion Sylvia Donohoe (NSW) were among those players to progress to the quarter finals of the Australian Women’s Senior Amateur in sunny conditions at Gungahlin Lakes Golf Club in Canberra today.
Boniface had a comfortable 6&4 win over local Nicky Moon (ACT) while Donohoe survived a close battle with Mardi Dungey (WA) to win 2&1.
Third place qualifier Josie Ryan (QLD) lost to Glenys Ferguson (WA) 1 down.
Heather Harley (VIC), Vicki Laws (QLD), Jacqui Morgan (NSW), Lyn Bennett (WA) and Liz Smyth (ACT) also won through to the quarter finals.
The quarter and semi finals taking place on Thursday. The final will take place on Friday.

Round 2 Report
Kiwi Robyn Boniface maintained her overnight lead to finish as the top qualifier at the Australian Women’s Senior Amateur in sunny conditions at Gungahlin Lakes Golf Club in Canberra.
Boniface slipped to a second round 8-over par 80 but finished five strokes ahead of defending champion Sylvia Donohoe who fought back with a second round 4-over par 76.
Queensland's Josie Ryan qualified in third place, four strokes behind Donohoe. Jacqui Morgan (NSW) and Vicki Laws (QLD) qualified in fourth place.
The first round of knock-out Match Play takes place on Wednesday with the quarter and semi finals taking place on Thursday. The final will take place on Friday.
Round 1 Report
Kiwi Robyn Boniface leads the Australian Women’s Senior Amateur by six strokes after the opening qualifying round in cold and windy conditions at Gungahlin Lakes Golf Club in Canberra.
Boniface opened her round with an eagle-birdie combination but finished with a 3-over par 75.
Jacqui Morgan (NSW) finished with a 9-over par 81 to be in second place, one ahead of Liz Smyth (ACT) in third.
Defending champion Sylvia Donohoe (NSW) finished with a 12-over par 84 to be tied in fourth place with Lyn Bennett (WA) and Nicky Moon (ACT).
Donohoe already holds the course record at Gungahlin Lakes with a 72.
The second qualifying round takes place on Tuesday.
