Darcy Boyd ofToukley and Danielle Vasquez of Bonnie Doon have taken out the 2016 NSW Mixed Foursomes Championship at Campbelltown Golf Club with a score of 77 in extremely windy conditions.

In second place was the pairing of Tom Gill from Long Reef and Lucy Harris from Castle Hill only one stroke behind.

Vasquez was thrilled with the victory, her first major title in open competition.

"It feels really good. We started off average, but we made a few birdies coming in,"

"Mum and Dad are happy, they're very proud," the 16-year-old said.

18-year-old Boyd was equally thrilled.

“we’ve been really looking forward to it for a couple of months,

“It’s very satisfying, we really wanted to get the win,"

“We birdied three of the last four holes to get back to something respectable, it was a grind out there, it was pretty hard," Boyd said.

Taking out the nett was the Shelly Beach team of Steven Fisher and Dannielle Elford with a great score of 73.5 from Dan Williams and Susan Howard from Bardwell Valley.

The NSW pairing of Stephen Parker and Jessica Widarma were victorious in the Champion of Champions with a gross score of 86.
