It’s going to be lucky for some as thirteen international amateurs are set to add some flair to the field in next month’s NSW Open.

Led by reigning Australian Amateur Champion and number 23 on the Amateur Golf World Rankings (AGWR), Scotland's Connor Syme, representatives from Argentina, China, Hong Kong, Japan and New Zealand will tackle the cream of Australian golf at Stonecutters Ridge Golf Club in Western Sydney.

The Kiwi presence from across the Ditch is strong. Leading the group is World number 63, Luke Toomey. Alongside him is his Eisenhower Trophy teammate Ryan Chisnall, and Daniel Hillier. Together they form a formidable trio that will certainly put up a strong showing for themselves.

Terence Ng from Hong Kong played very creditably in the last month's Eisenhower Trophy, finishing mid-field against some hot opposition.

Taichirro Ideriha, Shori Ishizuka, and Aito Inada are members of the Japanese National Junior squad making their first trip to Australia.

Representing China is Pan Qihao, Tie Qiantong and Liu Zehao.

Graeme Phillipson, Golf NSW General Manager of Golf is thrilled with the internationals.

“They’re all very talented golfers.”

"They will certainly leave an impression on those who get to see them play," Mr Phillipson said.
