The 2017 Srixon NSW Mid-Amateur Championships are set to be a blast at Tocumwal from May 14th to 16th.

Berrigan Shire Council has partnered with Golf NSW to bring the Championship to the picturesque region for the first time.

The Championship, for golfers aged over 30, has become one of the friendliest events on the Golf NSW calendar. Over 120 golfers are expected to take part, and in a first for the Tournament, competitors will get to play both the Captain’s and President’s courses on the testing Tocumwal layout, with the men’s title conducted over 54 holes, and the women’s over 36 holes.

Tournament sponsor Srixon have come to the party and added some spice to the event for all competitors.

All you have to do is play a Srixon ball for the championship you will receive one dozen Srixon Balls of your choice, and go into a competition to win a year’s supply of your chosen ball - simply by being the low nett score for the week.

“This is a first for the Championship,” Olivia Wilson, Golf NSW Events Manager said.

In another first, the upper age limit rule for the tournament has been relaxed.

“Anyone over the age of 30 can now compete, there’s no longer an upper age limit,” she added.

A bus is also available to transport golfers to the tournament and return from The Sydney Metropolitan area. For $40 per person - return, you can save yourself the effort of the drive and have a great weekend of golf on one of Australia’s finest inland golf courses.

Entries are closing soon, so get in quick.
