Two of Australian golf's greats, Craig Parry and Peter Lonard, have confirmed their entry for next month's NSW Open Golf Championship at Stonecutters Ridge Golf Club.

Both needs little introduction to golf fans across Australia.

Craig Parry is a two-time NSW Open Champion (1987,1992), a World Golf Championship winner (2002 WGC-NEC Invitational), a US PGA Tour winner (2004 Ford Championship at Doral), and the 2007 Australian Open Champion.

Lonard, Like Parry, is also a former NSW Open Champion (2004), a two-time Australian Open Champion (2003, 2004) and a US PGA Tour winner (2005 MCI Heritage)

The pair joins a list of names already entered for next month's Championship that includes nine former NSW Open Champions, Four Australian Open Champions and tournament winners from the US PGA Tour, European Tour, Japanese Tour and Asian Tour.

"The field continues to get better,” General Manager of Golf - Golf NSW Graeme Phillipson said.

230 professional entries have been received for this year's open, with the closing date for professionals still a couple of days away.

An additional 30 amateurs will take their place in the Championship, including World number 13, Harrison Endycott of Avondale Golf Club, current NSW Amateur Champion Austin Bautista of Bonnie Doon Golf Club, 18 international amateurs from across Asia and the Pacific, and the bulk of the undefeated NSW men's team from the 2016 Australian Interstate Series.

”This is shaping up to be the strongest field the NSW Open has seen for a long, long time,” Mr Phillipson added.
